an iconic New York City bar.
In a collaboration with Gerber Group and Reidy Contracting Group, Conor O’Leary was privileged to breathe new life into this iconic New York City bar. Located in the ornate Grand Central offices of 1920’s railroad executive John Williams Campbell, The Campbell retains official landmark status. Conor worked closely with the MTA on a daily basis to ensure the preservation of the space and meet all landmark guidelines. Up against ambitious schedule requirements and budgetary restrictions, Conor and team brought in specialists to restore the original walls and ceilings, and even match the original 1920’s herringbone flooring after flooding damaged the wood. Old world grandeur met a contemporary aesthetic in a restoration we are proud to have had a hand in.
